Non-conformist Marriages
Sixhills Free Methodist Chapel 1899-1911
Market Rasen United Meth Chapel 1899-1911
Where the groom or bride’s father had a different surname, or the surname was spelt differently, from that of the groom or bride, this is shown in capital letters. All other names in these columns are forenames. The bride’s condition (single or widow) is only shown where the father’s surname is different to hers. In many instances, father’s names are not given. Any comments in the father’s name column, other than a name, are shown in italics e.g. deceased etc. Where nothing appeared the word blank has been inserted. In one or two instances the name of the bride or groom’s mother has been given.
A major update, with corrections and a new comments column, was completed in February 2010. Where the parish register entry is different from the details in FreeBMD this is shown. Please note that FreeBMD is a copy of a copy of a copy. Each marriage was entered separately in two registers. One of these registers is held by the Registrar. This second register was copied for the GRO indexes and FreeBMD is a copy of the GRO indexes.
Marriages transcribed by Ann Lillywhite and Pam Bailey (Riby), Ifor Barton, Eileen Clark.
